The meeting

Ba salam be hamegi,

First of all, I must appreciate everyone’s sincerity regarding the involvement in our club’s affair. I couldn’t expect anything more than this in the middle of summer. So thank you to those who initiated this gathering: Alireza Ghazerani, Bahram Zarggar, Sara Alavi, and Nastaran. I also thank all of you for showing up!!

The following is the summary of our discussions yesterday:

I must say that, to me, everyone is on the same boat pretty much. We just need to synchronize our differences over very minor issues and adjust our personal preferences (Alayegh e shakhsi J)

It was a big pleasure to see some old friends coming back (Behnam Banihashem) and some new blood in the group. This was the first time for me to have the pleasure of meeting Behanam Shadravan, Mohammad Karimi, Mojgan, and Shahab (S.S J). I am sure your contributions will make a huge difference in our club’s prospect.

Agenda

Yesterday, we talked about preparing an Agenda for the club before September. In the first week of September, we will conduct the conventional election, although to me the current board of directors has done a superb job.

So, the documentation regarding our agenda will be initiated by me, and Behanam Banihashem; a copy will be send to all of you as soon as it gets ready. After getting the feedbacks from all of you, we will issue the final copy. The final copy will be presented to SFUO and university authorities, if deemed necessary.

Target the majority of Student Body, as well as outsiders

We had a very constructive discussion over the type of activities needed to be added to our club. Without going to too much detail, I will outline the major type of events, and activities proposed by YOU.

Events
· Movie Nights, the movie of marmoulak will be the first one shown.
· Shab e Sher, I know some people who can be helpful in this regard
·DJ nights and traditional dance nights
· Music events ; we can have it in two section of Traditional and Modern
· Joint Film Festival ; with other clubs (to me this is a superb idea thank you to Behnam Banihashem)
· Frosh Week event; for the new comers to the club: At the beginning of each event we will introduce them to old members
Activities

· Creating a DBS for each faculty; we will allocate some room on the ISAUO’s website to each faculty and the contact persons; the point for this is to share information with others (particularly new comers)
